Not really part of the Camino, but part of the journey. Two full days in Seville, which we made the most of. Wandering the maze of old town alleys and strolling the wide boulevards of the newer city – newer being relative, as many of the incredible buildings date back to the heyday of Seville when it was the main port serving the Spanish colonies in the Americas (until the river silted up and the ships went to Cadiz instead.
So here are some holiday snaps: more photos about buildings and food (with apologies to The Talking Heads!)

Advance tickets for the Alcazar were sold out until November, and rather than wait in line for an hour on the off chance we’d get one of the door sales, we went to the Barbar of Seville instead.
