VF del sud day 33: Rest day in Lecce

Nothing really to report, except an incident while at dinner street-side. Cars had difficulty in the narrow street. As one passed there was a loud crunch as it ran over an electric scooter locked up right opposite to our table. The car reversed up and the passenger opened his door briefly for him to judge whether there was room to get through – but it was just long enough for the interior light to identify two priests, who continued on as if nothing had happened. The teenager who owned the scooter was not happy when he arrived back! He and his buddies managed to get the scooter operational. I think there is a moral to this story, but I’m still figuring it out.

Here are some pics taken in Lecce

A German man in the restaurant said that Sam looked like German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger. I guess doppelganger may be the appropriate expression given the nationality.
