Day seven: rest day in Arras

A rainy rest day in Arras – laundry and R&R! Being a Saturday, we checked out the market in the Places des heros (renamed to commemorate the hundreds of French resistance fighters who were executed in Arras during WW2).

The yellow truck was by far the most popular vendor in the square, so we loaded up with stuffed tomatoes for lunch and and quite possibly the best rotisserie chicken eve for dinner at our Airbnb, along with a massive side of cauliflower dauphinois. I guess my request for deux cent grammes sounded like French for a ‘bucket full’. No harm done as there were no leftovers!

Memorable moment: the awesome chicken 🍗
